Body Venture is a traveling walk-through health education exhibit. Each year it visits approximately 100 Kansas elementary schools and is toured by 25,000 students. Body Venture's goal is to teach children to "Eat Smart. Play Hard." while helping them understand how their daily decisions impact the body's health. |

Child Nutrition Programs in Kansas include the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program, Special Milk Program, After School Snack Program, Summer Food Service Program and Child & Adult Care Food Program. These programs provide healthy nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for Kansas children enrolled in schools, child care, and summer nutrition programs. |

Healthy Kansas Schools focuses on assisting schools with creating healthy school environments. The goal of Healthy Kansas Schools is to assure that all students are healthy and ready to learn. Increasing physical activity, decreasing tabacco use, and improving student nutrition are all aims of Healthy Kansas Schools. Kansas State Department of Education's Division of Child Nutrition & Wellness and Kansas Department of Health and Environment's Bureau of Health Promotion are partners in Healthy Kansas Schools initiatives. |
